My First.

I take this opportunity to officially welcome you to So Christine and to read my first post.

I knew I wanted to blog when I read through my diary and realized that some of the pieces I wrote needed to be read by more people. It was just but an idea in my head until recently when I decided to design and publish the blog. Honestly speaking, the first step was the toughest to take but I'm glad I started.

The name of the blog, So Christine, came about randomly. Well, not entirely. I like to refer to myself as the brand I sell. I needed a name that does exactly that. Remember the TV show 'That's so Raven'? That is the source of the so!😂 You are probably thinking that it is lame but when I sat down and made that decision, it made sense.

I am passionate about creating social change, empowerment through education and wellness. I focus on telling the ordinary everyday stories in an extraordinary way. When I am not writing I'm probably trying on my sister's clothes in her absence, filling my sketch book with incomplete drawings or designing clothes that I sew and knit. Did I mention overthinking? I might as well call it a hobby because the rate at which it happens is alarming. I enjoy singing and dancing only that my feet have no rhythm and my voice moves from soprano to base and back to soprano in the same line.😢😢

I have one cardinal rule in life, if you are not having fun while at it, then don't do it. Well, we all define fun differently. My definition is: whatever gets you excited and feels right at the same time. Writing happens to be a fun activity and something I love doing hence I invest my time and energy in it.
